Hi and thanks for stopping by!
Music has been with me since early childhood. I feel very privileged to be able to earn my living as a musician.
As is the way with the arts, I do a number of different disciplines within music. I play soprano, alto, and tenor saxes and clarinet professionally. I teach clarinet, saxophone, jazz improvisation (all instruments) and music theory as well as running various groups including a big band, jazz bands, a clarinet group and workshops (usually with a improvisational slant). I also regularly arrange and compose and partake in quite a bit of band leading. My influences and interests lie primarily in jazz and classical music, but I also love working with salsa, funk, soul, motown, blues and more. Oh and by the way, I read music, play by ear and improvise to a high standard. As of March 2020 as a response to COVID-19 I am now also fully able to teach online via ZOOM (or SKYPE if needs be)
This site should explain everything. Look around check me out and if you want to know more, get in touch. If you want to see me play live visit my gig diary page.
